This guide lists the sources which provide access to financial documents that public companies much file with the Securities and Exchange Commission. These reports include but are not limited to 10-K's, 10-Q's, 8-K's, Proxy Statements and Insider filings. This source also includes access to SEC staff reviews, Securities laws & regulations, compliance including legal due diligence, corporate governance and other topical documents.

Company DossierThis LexisNexis database provides data on more than 35 million private and public companies in U.S. and worldwide. The Company Dossier aggregates company information and data from many sources to provide company profiles, contacts, executives, products, competitors, financials, legal Information, including intellectual property and recent company news. Hoover's
Hoover's has basic information on 12 million worldwide companies and in-depth profiles of more than 40,000 public and private companies. Basic company information comes from Dun & Bradstreet. Each Hoover's in-depth profile may include company description, historical profile, competitors, financials, products/operations, industry information, and biographies of executives. LIVEDGAR
LIVEDGAR is a comprehensive and up-to-date database containing securities data as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It is keyword searchable and more user friendly than the free EDGAR database provided by the SEC. You will find advanced features that allow you to quickly access information on SEC Filings (back to 1967), Merger & Acquisition data, SEC Staff Reviews and Library, Annual Reports, Company News, Quotes and Financials. Morningstar Document Research (formerly 10-K Wizard)
Real-time online access and full-text search of extensive financial information for publicly traded firms. Allows users to not only view the latest SEC filings of more than 68,000 companies, but search historical filings, from the start date of each company's existence, by keyword, phrase and name. EDGAR This is the free database of public company filings collected by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Find the full-text of company annual 10-K reports, quarterly 10-Q reports, proxy statements, prospectus, etc. The EDGAR Archive allows you to find filings for companies from 1994-present. Filings prior to 1994 are not available in electronic format, but may be purchased by contacting the Public Reference Room at the SEC. The entire EDGAR database filings can also be searched using our LIVEDGAR database, which offers more search options and functionality. (See LIVEDGAR database).
Annual Reports.com
This free website provides access to the largest collection of the full text glossy annual reports companies prepare for current and prospective stock holders (as opposed to the 10K report which is a required filing by the SEC). The focus here is on current reports rather than historical but there is a lot of information about corporate image, branding, and the story the company wants to tell about their history and their direction for the future. You can search for reports by company name, ticker symbol, exchange, industry, and industry sector.
