Top Databases
BloombergLocate real-time and historical information on economic conditions, market data and public companies worldwide. Information is available on governments, mortgages, money markets, bonds, commodities, stocks, and currencies. This resource is used in most companies and institutions that manage equities, commodities, and currencies. Two dedicated Bloomberg terminals with full API capabilities which allow for custom downloading and creation of reports are available in the Walker Management Library and Owen Computer Lab. Online tutorials are available on the terminals and Bloomberg now offers certification in different financial management areas with tests that can be taken on the Bloomberg terminals. [more]
Business Source Premier
BSP provides coverage to virtually all subject areas related to business, including management, marketing, economics, finance, accounting, and international business. In addition to covering the major scholarly business journals, BSP also covers company reports, SWOT analyses, working papers, country reports, industry reports and other searchable categories like case studies, book reviews, product reviews, speeches, and interviews. This database is the exclusive online provider of many major journals like the Harvard Business Review, but it does not contain the fulltext of the Wall Street Journal (see Factiva for WSJ). [more]
CCH Internet Research Network
CCH is a leading provider of tax and business law information. This database covers the legal aspects of securities, banking, bankruptcy, international business, government contracts, products liability, and more. It provides access to regulations, laws and compliance tools for major areas of business. Under the securities tab, you'll find the SEC Accountant’s Module, which includes FASB and GASB information, as well as the US Master GAAP Guide. [more]
Factiva
Factiva is a multi-functional database. It is primarily used to find the full-text of business publications, including magazines, trade publications, and newspapers. It has full-text coverage of the Wall Street Journal. It is a good source for international and local business news, which typically isn't covered in other databases. Also included in this database are company profiles and financial quotes. [more]
LIVEDGAR
LIVEDGAR is a comprehensive and up-to-date database containing securities data as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It is keyword searchable and more user friendly than the free EDGAR database provided by the SEC. You will find advanced features that allow you to quickly access information on SEC Filings (back to 1967), Merger & Acquisition data, SEC Staff Reviews and Library, Annual Reports, Company News, Quotes and Financials. SDC Platinum
SDC Platinum offers the most comprehensive data available on mergers & acquisitions, global new issues (IPO and private placement), and venture capital. The search interface requires precise queries but provides a large range of data points. Information can be downloaded to a spreadsheet format. [more]

This easy-to-use database contains tables and text excerpted from numerous publications. Along with simple keyword searching, users can also limit searches by choosing from lists of concept terms, marketing terms, countries, industries, and document types.
