Digital Dissertations
The Dissertation Abstracts database contains more than 1.5 million listings for doctoral dissertations and master’s theses. Includes extensive coverage of North American graduate schools, with coverage of some European universities. Citations for dissertations from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts, written by the author. Citations for master’s theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. Titles published since 1997 have 24 page previews available in PDF format. Vanderbilt users may purchase dissertations directly from UMI through this database; they may also borrow dissertations without charge through the Heard Library Interlibrary Loan office. [more]
