ABI InformThis CD-ROM database, also known as ABI Business Periodicals OnDisc, provides indexing to articles from business magazines, trade publications and scholarly journals. The database is used with a CD collection of fulltext articles or abstracts and is many times the only source for finding electronic versions of older articles. It can only be used in the library at public computer #9. [more]
Accounting & Tax
This database provides comprehensive coverage of accounting and tax information found in scholarly and peer-reviewed journals as well as accounting or tax news in newspapers and magazines. The scope is international and the focus is primarily accounting policies and standards. Related topics are covered, including profiles of accounting firms and updates on state and federal legislation or regulations. [more]
Bloomberg
Locate real-time and historical information on economic conditions, market data and public companies worldwide. Information is available on governments, mortgages, money markets, bonds, commodities, stocks, and currencies. This resource is used in most companies and institutions that manage equities, commodities, and currencies. Two dedicated Bloomberg terminals with full API capabilities which allow for custom downloading and creation of reports are available in the Walker Management Library. Online tutorials are available on the terminals and Bloomberg now offers certification in different financial management areas with tests that can be taken on the Bloomberg terminals. [more]
Business & Industry
Business & Industry is a broad business information database that focuses on facts, figures, events and market information about companies, industries, products and markets. It covers all industries and is international in scope. B&I draws content from a large number of trade and industry publications, regional, national and international newspapers, business dailies and newsletters. This is a good database to search for recent events about a company or industry and tends to have very good coverage of marketing topics. It is also useful for finding information about regional company and industry news. [more]
Business Source Premier
BSP provides coverage to virtually all subject areas related to business, including management, marketing, economics, finance, accounting, and international business. In addition to covering the major scholarly business journals, BSP also covers company reports, SWOT analyses, working papers, country reports, industry reports and other searchable categories like case studies, book reviews, product reviews, speeches, and interviews. This database is the exclusive online provider of many major journals like the Harvard Business Review, but it does not contain the fulltext of the Wall Street Journal (see Factiva for WSJ). [more]

This LexisNexis database provides data on more than 35 million private and public companies in U.S. and worldwide. The Company Dossier aggregates company information and data from many sources to provide company profiles, contacts, executives, products, competitors, financials, legal Information, including intellectual property and recent company news. Conference Board, The
The Conference Board is a highly respected not-for-profit organization that conducts research on business management and trends. While they cover a broad range of business topics, they are well known for their annual reports on top-executive compensation and corporate giving. EconLibrary.com
EconLibrary contains broad coverage of economic and business journals. Use it to identify articles published in 500 scholarly journals in this field. The database does not include the full text of the articles, but the articles may be found in other databases, in print format or through interlibrary loan. This database also contains citations from many of the top finance journals as well. [more]
EconLit
EconLit is a comprehensive, indexed bibliography with selected abstracts of the world's economic literature, produced by the American Economic Association. It includes coverage of over 400 major journals as well as articles in collective volumes (essays, proceedings, etc.), books, book reviews, dissertations, and working papers which have been licensed from the Cambridge University Press Abstracts of Working Papers in Economics. Emerald
Formerly known as MCB Press, Emerald Group Publishing Limited has created this full-text searchable database of their journal titles. It contains 110 scholarly, peer-reviewed management journals from all different areas of business. The majority of the journals are available fulltext from their inception to present. [more]
Expanded Academic ASAP
This is a general subject database, provided by the Heard Libraries. Use it to identify articles on a broad range of subject areas, including some business. [more]
Factiva
Factiva is a multi-functional database. It is primarily used to find the full-text of business publications, including magazines, trade publications, and newspapers. It has full-text coverage of the Wall Street Journal. It is a good source for international and local business news, which typically isn't covered in other databases. Also included in this database are company profiles and financial quotes. [more]
General BusinessFile ASAP
Analyze company performance and activity, industry events and business trends as well as the latest in management, economics and politics. Access to a combination of trade publications, newspapers, journals and company directory listings with full text and images available. Includes some Investext brokerage reports, but they are usually older reports. See Reuter's Research On Demand database for more up-to-date brokerage reports. [more]
General BusinessFile International
Similar to the General Business File ASAP database, this database provides the same types of information, but with more of an international focus. It includes some publications from other countries as well as articles about other countries published in U.S. sources. Includes the full-text of the Financial Times. International Index to Black Periodicals
IIBP Full Text includes current and retrospective bibliographic citations and abstracts from scholarly journals and newsletters from the United States, Africa and the Caribbean--and full-text coverage of core Black Studies periodicals. See the database's title list to see which periodicals are included. Most IIBP Full Text records are in abstract format yet full text is included for many of the titles. Coverage is international in scope and multidisciplinary--spanning cultural, economic, historical, religious, social, and political issues of vital importance to the Black Studies discipline. Examples of some of the full text journals are: African Business; Black Enterprise; Journal of Black Psychology; and the Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved. [more]
ISI Web of Knowledge
The ISI Web of Knowledge provides access to the Web of Science (Science Citation Index Expanded for 1965 to present and Social Sciences Citation Index for 1990 to present), Current Contents Connect, and BIOSIS Previews as well as Journal Citation Reports (Science Edition for 1998-2001 and Social Sciences Edition for 2000-2001). Contains complete bibliographic data as well as author abstracts for approximately 70% of the articles in the sciences and 65% of the articles in the social sciences since 1992. Each citation also includes a list of references cited in the source article. It is possible to retrieve a list of works that have cited a specific author or a specific earlier work. SCI Expanded covers over 5,800 major science and technical journals and SSCI covers 1,730 leading social sciences journals across a wide range of disciplines, including some business journals. [more]
JSTOR
JSTOR, The Scholarly Journal Archive, is a digital archive for major scholarly journals. The electronic backfiles begin with the first issue of each journal. The most rececent five years of published issues are not available in this database. Areas covered are the core journals in the following disciplines: Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Anthropology, Asian studies, Ecology, Education, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physical Science, Population studies, and Sociology. You can search the entire database, search selected journals, or browse the journal table of contents. [more]
NBER Working Papers
The National Bureau of Economic Research concentrates on four types of empirical research: developing new statistical measurements, estimating quantitative models of economic behavior, assessing the effects of public policies on the United States economy, and projecting the effects of alternative policy proposals. OneSource
Use this database for in-depth details on companies and industries whose operations span the globe. It includes 80,000+ international companies and their executives as well as 350,000+ U.S. and Canadian public and private companies and their executives. Company data includes financials, subsidiaries, trade and business news, and research reports. With the Company Insights Add-On Module, export company data for further comparison and analyses. Use PROMT (Predicast Overview of Markets and Technology) to research companies, the products and technologies they produce, and the markets in which they compete. Includes summaries and full text from nearly 1,000 business and trade journals, industry newsletters, newspapers, market research studies, news releases, and investment and brokerage firm reports. ProQuest
A multi-disciplinary database, ProQuest has full text availability for nearly 2,000 journals in all academic fields. Users can search the entire database or individual modules (such as Newspapers) in such areas as arts, business, education, health, humanities, law, psychology, science and social science. Full text is available for about one half of the journals included, with graphics available for many of the full text articles. It includes same-day, full-text coverage of the Wall Street Journal. PsycINFO
This database is a useful tool to help locate information on psychology. While it does not include the full-text of materials, it provides a way to search for articles, book chapters and books dealing with psychology. Subject coverage includes basic and applied psychology which covers marketing, advertising, organizational analysis, and human relations, as well as other psychology areas such as abnormal and clinical psychology, experimental psychology, human and animal development, social psychology, professional psychology, and educational psychology. Science Direct
Science Direct offers access to more than 2,000 scientific, business, technical and medical peer-reviewed journals, the majority coming from Elsevier. Academic Press is also covered by the database. You will find available fulltext articles from the journals that the libraries subscribe to as well as indexing and abstracts of non-subscribed titles. The recently added backfile of the Business collection is an invaluable archival source for business research. There are unique features that allow you to set up your own personal profiles which will enable you to save searches and create alerts for new issues. [more]
Social Science Research Network
Social Science Research Network (SSRN) is devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of social science research and is composed of a number of specialized research networks in each of the social sciences. Each of SSRN's networks encourages the early distribution of research results by publishing submitted abstracts and by soliciting abstracts of top quality research papers around the world. The SSRN eLibrary consists of two parts: an Abstract Database containing abstracts on over 128,100 scholarly working papers and forthcoming papers and an Electronic Paper Collection currently containing over 99,100 downloadable full text documents in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. SpringerLINK contains over 400 fulltext multi-disciplinary journals and books published by Springer-Verlag and other publishers. You may browse the entire list of journals and select individual titles or search the entire database. You can also browse the Online Library in Business and Economics, which contains over 100 business journals. [more]
Wiley Interscience
Provides access to publications from John Wiley and Sons, Inc. It features journals, online books and more. You will be able to identify, retrieve, download or print full text documents in the business, scientific, medical, technical and professional specialties. [more]
World Bank e-Library
The World Bank e-Library is a full-text information resource for social and economic development. It is made up of World Bank publications (books, reports and other documents) and Policy Research Working Papers. There are selected titles from the 1980s and 1990s, and all published titles are included since 2000. The collection also consists of new titles as they are published, and information not available in print. This site provides access to more than 14,000 World Bank documents, previously known as World Development Sources. "The types of documents you will find include: Country Economic & Sector Work (in-depth background, strategic priorities, and direction for lending activities); Project Documents (loan documents released to the public according to the (project cycle); and Research & Working Papers (working papers & informal series from departments around the Bank)."
