BloombergLocate real-time and historical information on economic conditions, market data and public companies worldwide. Information is available on governments, mortgages, money markets, bonds, commodities, stocks, and currencies. This resource is used in most companies and institutions that manage equities, commodities, and currencies. Two dedicated Bloomberg terminals with full API capabilities which allow for custom downloading and creation of reports are available in the Walker Management Library and Owen Computer Lab. Online tutorials are available on the terminals and Bloomberg now offers certification in different financial management areas with tests that can be taken on the Bloomberg terminals. [more]

The Conference Board is a highly respected not-for-profit organization that conducts research on business management and trends. While they cover a broad range of business topics, they are well known for their annual reports on top-executive compensation and corporate giving. EconLibrary.com
EconLibrary contains broad coverage of economic and business journals. Use it to identify articles published in 500 scholarly journals in this field. The database does not include the full text of the articles, but the articles may be found in other databases, in print format or through interlibrary loan. This database also contains citations from many of the top finance journals as well. [more]
EconLit
EconLit is a comprehensive, indexed bibliography with selected abstracts of the world’s economic literature, produced by the American Economic Association. It includes coverage of over 400 major journals as well as articles in collective volumes (essays, proceedings, etc.), books, book reviews, dissertations, and working papers which have been licensed from the Cambridge University Press Abstracts of Working Papers in Economics. EIU Country Data
EIU Country Data (through the Economist Intelligence Unit) is a source of economic indicators and forecasts providing data series on economic structure, foreign payments, external debt stock, external debt service, external trade, trends in foreign trade, and quarterly indicators. The data covers 115 countries with extensive data - over 700,000 data points -- with most data going back to 1980 with forecasts several years in the future. EIU Country Profiles (through the Economist Intelligence Unit) provides an annual analysis of country history, politics, infrastructure, and economy, including trade. Provides basic data (such as population statistics, climate, language), statistics, and selected bibliography. Thirty countries are represented. EIU Country Reports (through the Economist Intelligence Unit) analyzes current trends and provides two-year forecast. Covers political and economic outlook, economic forecast, as well as analysis of key political and economic policies, including foreign trade. Includes statistics. Quarterly reports, with monthly updates for larger economies. Covers about 30 countries. FRASER
FRASER, the Federal Reserve Archival System for Economic Research, is a site that currently features historical material from seven publications: All Bank Statistics 1896-1955 (published 1959), Annual Statistical Digest (issues from 1970-2000), Banking and Monetary Statistics 1914-1941, Banking and Monetary Statistics 1941-1970, Business Statistics Supplement to the Survey of Current Business (issues from 1932-1965), Concordance of Statistics (issues from 1978-2000), Economic Indicators (issues from 1948-present) and more. FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data) is a database of U.S. economic time series from a multitude of government agencies. It includes charts of data series and data on banking and finance, but also has statistics on labor, consumer price index, GDP, imports/exports, etc. This widely used free database is updated regularly and allows 24/7 access to regional and national financial and economic data. Global Development Finance Online
GDF Online has external debt and financial flow data for the 136 countries that report public and publicly-guaranteed debt to the World Bank's Debtor Reporting System. The time series for 218 indicators run from 1970 to 2000, with contractual obligations data until 2010. The indicators include external debt stocks and flows, major economic aggregates, and key debt ratios as well as average terms of new commitments, currency composition of long-term debt, debt restructurings, and scheduled debt service projections. International Financial Statistics
IFS Online is published by the International Monetary Fund and is a standard source of international statistics related to finance - both domestic and international. Data is provided to help analyze international payments, rates of inflation and deflation, exchange rates, international liquidity, international banking, monetary policy, interest rates, prices, production and government and national accounts. NBER Working Papers
The National Bureau of Economic Research concentrates on four types of empirical research: developing new statistical measurements, estimating quantitative models of economic behavior, assessing the effects of public policies on the United States economy, and projecting the effects of alternative policy proposals. STAT-USA
STAT-USA is the Internet source for business and economic information produced by the U.S. Federal Government. It gathers together in one database information from over 50 Federal agencies. Included are U.S economic data as well as the calendars for the next releases of key economic indicators, industrial and manufacturing data, consumer credit reports, exchange rates and other data collected and disseminated by the U.S. Government. Its international section includes trade opportunity leads, information on industries internationally, and guide for U.S. companies doing business in different countries. [more]
WDI: World Development Indicators Online
Produced by the World Bank, World Development Indicators provides direct access to more than 550 development indicators, with time series for 208 countries and 18 country groups from 1960, where data are available. [more]
WTO International Trade Statistics
The World Trade Organization's International Trade Statistics database contains interactive access to the most up-to-date WTO trade statistics, and annual publication including detailed analysis and tables (leading traders, trade by sector and product, regional trade, LDCs, etc.). It includes time-series data. [more]
