Overview of BIS

The Business Information Service (BIS) of Walker Management Library conducts fee-based research on a non-profit basis for corporations and individuals. Your time is too valuable to spend sifting through information that we may be able to locate easily. Send us your request and spend more of your time addressing the needs of your business.

What does BIS offer?

• Fast delivery of news or business articles, trademark descriptions or patents
• This is a cost-recovery and non-profit service. All fees and costs are agreed to in advance.

Membership Levels

Rates and privileges are based on membership levels. Compare membership levels to see which one is right for you as each is designed to fit different needs.

1. Corporate Partner - Participation in Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management Partner’s Program entitles participants to significant privileges
2. Corporate Affiliates - This subscription includes library use and borrowing privileges plus discount rates for customized research.
3. Research Affiliates - Receive discounted rates for customized research without library privileges.
4. Alumni - Receive discounted research rates with no annual fee.
5. Non-members - Rates are comparable to those charged by for-profit information brokers.
