Rahn Huber
Rahn brings outside business experience to Owen providing research and information
services after working for Fortune 100 companies for over 20 years. She earned
a graduate degree in library science from Emory University and a B.A. in Foreign
Languages at University of South Florida. For a personal challenge, she
participated in a 5 day Outward Bound Survival class during college.
Her past experience includes being an entrepreneur and the founder of successful information management consulting firm focused on new business development, marketing and providing consulting services such as information assessments, start-ups for corporate information services and research services. Most recently, she spent 5 years as the Research Director for an international executive search firm. She also wrote the first "Factoids" for CNN's Headline News Network.
Summary of Job Responsibilities
Rahn joined the Walker Library in July 2004 where she continues to be involved in working with the business community. Her focus is to provide research services to Owen and Vanderbilt alumni, as well as the business community.
Publications, Presentations & Professional Involvement
She is an active member in the Special Library Association (SLA), and has conducted workshops and training sessions in the use of information resources. Her professional interests are in organizational issues as well as several industries where she’s worked including pharmaceuticals, chemicals and polymers, and the electric utility industry.
