Policy on Responsible Computing
Everyone within the Vanderbilt University community has the responsibility to use the library's public computers in an ethical, professional, and legal manner. This means that users agree to the following guidelines:
- Use the computers and information resources responsibly and appropriately. Respect the rights of others, and respect all contractual and license agreements.
- Use only those computer accounts for which you have authorization, and do not share your password with anyone.
- Commercial use of the library's computing resources - usage not related to the academic, research, and scholarly pursuits - is prohibited.
- Report unauthorized use of your account to library staff at the Service Desk or someone in Owen IT.
- Do not participate in malicious computer activities.
- Report any abuse of computing resources to library staff at the Service Desk.
