Computers
Hardware: There are 11 public workstations available for use in the library, one of which is a stand-up terminal on the 1st Floor. They are Dell Optiplex GX280's (Pentium 4 CPU, 3.4GHz, and 1GB of RAM), and are running Microsoft Windows XP.
Software Available: Microsoft Office 2003 (including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, InfoPath, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat 7.0, RecordNow Plus (CD Burning Software), and 3 databases (SDC Platinum 3.2, Lexis-Nexis Research Software, and Datastream Advance 4.0). Browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox
Hardware: Two USB 2.0 ports are easily accessible on the front of each computer for use with portable thumb drives. They also have CD-R/RW and DVD-R/RW burners.
Printers
There are 4 printers in the library, one of which is a color printer. There are also other printers available in the Owen Print Center located in the OGSM lobby right outside the library entrance. See library staff at the Service Desk or Owen IT staff if you need assistance adding a printer to your laptop.

VUprint
The public workstations in the library all have VUprint installed on them. Black and white printing is currently free to current OGSM students, staff, and faculty. All others pay $.04/page for printing. Everyone pays $.50/page for color print jobs. For more information on VUprint, please see the VUprint wiki.
Wireless Access
The library, as well as the rest of OGSM, is fully covered with 802.11 a/b/g wireless.
Off-Campus Access
Many of the electronic resources that the library subscribes to are available off campus. For more information on specific resources, please see individual resources on the Databases A-Z page.

Faxes
There are 3 fax machines in the library. The one at the Service Desk is for Owen student use. Instructions are posted, and blank cover sheets are available. The other 2 fax machine are for use by the library and BIS.
Photocopiers
There are black and white 3 photocopiers in the library - 2 downstairs and one upstairs in the elevator alcove. They take change, dollar bills, and if you have money on your VU ID card, you can swipe your card too. Photocopies are $.10/page. If you need to make change, please see someone at the Service Desk.
Transpariences
Transparencies are for sale at the Service Desk. They are $1.00 each and can be used in the photocopiers or in the printers.
Microphones & Presentation Mice
Wireless microphones for use in Averbush Auditorium in OGSM are available to be checked out at the Service Desk. Also, USB enbaled wireless presentation mice with laser pointers can also be checked out at the Service Desk.
