The mission of the Owen Entrepreneurship Center (OEC) is to create wealth.

The OEC brings together entrepreneurs, business managers, investors, faculty, and Vanderbilt Business School students to share innovative ideas and build productive relationships.

Thorough its many services and activities (i.e., conferences, discussion groups, speakers, and networking programs), the OEC provides a vital resource for the business community while training MBA students for entrepreneurial careers.

The OEC has three main objectives:
Bring entrepreneurship to students
Stimulate start-up ventures
Build an entrepreneur network

Wealth is not without its advantages, and the case to the contrary, although it has often been made, has never proved widely persuasive.
