This year's assignment was to design a hardware "controller" for the WinAmp MP3 music playing program. 

The design constraints were: 

- Controller must address the needs of a distinct and specified user group
(i.e., Price, Ergonomics, Ease of Use, Perceived Value, Compelling Design)

- Controller must address basic business and technical needs
(i.e., Cost, Market Size, Production Technology, Distribution Models, Technical Feasibility)

- Controller must use a wire to connect to the host computer's serial port

- Controller can use between 1 and 16 buttons

- Controller must be compelling and pleasing to the design team and its sponsor
