Prepare a detailed outline of the budget procedures the company follows so you thoroughly understand how the company budgeting system operates.

List the good and bad parts of the system.  Now tell how the system creates value or destroys value.  If you think it destroys value, tell how you would modify the system to make it create more value than it now creates.  Imagine that you are sitting in Chicago trying to run this company that is located in Belgium, and think about the methods and procedures you would put in place to maximize the value this Belgian division can create for the total company.
